What happens if I sell my car?

If you sell or trade your car before you receive your ecoplates, contact the DMV, enclosing a copy of the temporary ID or registration card of the new car. If you sell your car when you already have your ecoplates, you can transfer them to your new car. The transfer fee is $15 for a sequential plate, $45 for a personalized plate.
