What are the WHALE TAIL^SM  and Tahoe license plates?

We call them "ecoplates." They are official license plates issued by the DMV for California-registered vehicles. These plates support two of California's natural treasures: the California coast and Lake Tahoe. Each plate features a striking full-frame four-color graphic design that appears in place of the plain white background on regular license plates.
